3D Printing Continues at the Library!

Spring 2018 3D Prints, Library has a Makerbot Replicator+ 3D printer

ISU Libraries has started charging for 3D printing based on the size of the model. The cost will be either $1.00 or $2.00 per .stl file submitted depending on the size of the model.

  • Models that measure up to 10.0 L x 10.0 W x 12.5 H cm [3.9 L x 3.9 W x 4.9 H in.] cost $1.00.

  • Models that measure from 10.1 L x 10.1 W x 12.6 H cm [3.91 L x 3.91 W x 4.91 H in.]  to 29.5 L x 19.3 W x 16.0 H cm [11.6 L x 7.6 W x 6.3 H in.] cost $2.00.

  • Payable in cash at the circulation desk upon pickup.

  • Cost is per .stl file submitted.

  • Cost of print jobs that fail due to design errors will be assessed to the patron.

  • Cost of print jobs that fail due to ISU Libraries staff error or to hardware failure is the responsibility of ISU Libraries.

ISU Libraries will assume ownership of completed print jobs not picked up after 7 business days and reserves the right to deny future print requests to that patron.
