April is National Poetry Month!

April is National Poetry Month. And then our singing, brought on a different manner of weather. We took new stock of one another. We wept to be reminded of such color.

Inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996.

National Poetry Month has become the largest literary celebration in the world; schools, publishers, libraries, booksellers, and poets celebrate poetry’s vital place in our culture. Idaho is fortunate to have a lot of great poets.  Check out the “Spotlight on Idaho” display in the New Books area to discover some of our local talent!
