GeoRef Description of this database.

- is the ultimate bibliographic database for the geosciences, providing access to more than 3.9 million references in a myriad of formats, and growing by over 100,000 references per year.  Established by the American Geosciences Institute, it covers the geology of North America from 1666 to present, and the rest of the world from 1933 to present. It includes references to all publications from the U.S. Geological Survey, and covers U.S. and Canadian theses and dissertations as well.  Should you need a reference in geology or related field, look no further.
