Temporary Position - 19 hours per week - June 30th, 2017
Eli M. Oboler Library / Idaho State University
Pocatello – Main Campus

Primary Purpose

Create and market multimedia materials for Instructional Services at Eli M. Oboler Library, Idaho State University. The position will include writing for the web and print; assessing and editing existing digital content; writing scripts and video creation; screen recording and audio narration; as well as some graphic design and project management software. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create video for requesting instruction online
  • Assess our current SearchPath tutorial
  • Research comparable universities’ tutorials
  • Develop and create a new Search Path tutorial
  • Promote and market library tutorials with a wide range of constituents
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Good communication skills both in-person and online
  • Works well on a team, being accountable for tasks and larger projects
  • Creative, demonstrates initiative, resourceful, good customer service skills, and professional work ethic


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience creating and editing multimedia videos and educational modules
  • Knowledge of multimedia technology and design
  • Experience with Camtasia, Moodle, and Basecamp
  • Coursework in writing for the web and digital marketing
  • Ability to conduct research with ISU Library resources
