Bureau of the Census: The Census Bureau Web site offers a huge amount of statistical data about the United States and its citizens. It includes statistics on employment, health, education, and more.

Child Trends DataBank: This resource provides information on "national trends and research on over 100 key indicators of child and youth well-being." The web site has basic and advanced search interfaces. It also provides subgroup, age, and alphabetical browse lists to help find the information you need.

Gallup Poll: The Gallup Poll Web site provides statistical results on the opinions of those polled on a wide range of social and political issues. Use the Topics A-Z list, or the quick search box to find the topics covered.
