Where to Find Evidence Based Information

Getting started with evidence based medicine research can be easier than you think! The following databases are great resources for finding information that is based on evidence.

PubMed This link opens in a new window PubMed is a great database to search when looking for biomedical, nursing or allied health articles. PubMed includes millions of articles, but there are ways to narrow your search to just information that is evidence-based. See the second video below for more information.
Cochrane Library This link opens in a new window The Cochrane Library is a collection of systematic reviews. It is considered the gold standard for evidence based information in the field of medicine and nursing. It contains over 4,000 reviews and protocols.
