Interlibrary Loan / Document Delivery Services

Interlibrary Loan supports the instructional, research, and scholarly activities of current Idaho State University faculty, staff, and students by providing access to materials not owned by the ISU Libraries.

Information

Distance Library services are intended for currently enrolled  Idaho State University students, faculty, and staff who do not attend classes or work on the Pocatello Campus of ISU. These cities are considered local: Aberdeen, American Falls, Blackfoot, Chubbuck, Fort Hall, Inkom, Lava Hot Springs, McCammon, Moreland, Pingree, Pocatello, Rockford, Rockland, Springfield, and Sterling.

Book delivery to the ISU Libraries in Idaho Falls and Meridian is provided at no charge. Delivery to the ISU Library - Idaho Falls is usually faster than mail delivery because items are couriered daily (Monday - Friday).

Please check your local public library or nearby academic library before requesting items via Interlibrary Loan.  Many public or academic libraries in your local area may have research materials that could be of value to you.

Instructions

For specific instructions, select:

  • Loans - Items on loan that must be returned to the lending library.
    •  Includes books, theses, dissertations, newspaper microfilm, or media (A/V, CD's, etc.).
  • Copies - Scans or photocopies of journal/magazine articles or book chapters.
