Hiring Career Path Interns

Hiring Now in Research & Learning Services at Oboler Library

Primary Purpose:

Edit and produce multimedia tutorials about library resources and information literacy. Assist library outreach in promoting library resources, services, and events on social media, blogs, campus news, and print products. The duration of this position is from fall 2022 through spring 2023 semesters, which is funded through the Career Path Internship (CPI) Program that provides opportunities for students to gain experience in their field of study in order to prepare them for their careers. CPI student employees gain unique resume-building experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with library faculty, staff, and students to edit and create video, sound, images, and text for library tutorials and online promotional content. Must be able to communicate and meet with members of the ISU community in virtual and physical settings to develop and produce content.

 

Teaching Assistant

Primary Purpose:

Teaching assistant for LLIB 1115: Introduction to Information Research (3 cr.) during the Fall 2022 & Spring 2023 semester. This position is funded through the Career Path Internship (CPI) Program, which provides opportunities for students to gain experience in their field of study in order to prepare them for their careers.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with students, assist with classroom instruction, grade student work, review assignment rubrics, offer input on course materials, and manage the Moodle course management system. Must be willing to communicate and meet with students in virtual or physical settings while helping them succeed.
