MLK Day of Service Monday, January 21, 2019. Serve on MLK Day and beyond. #MLKDay

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., Idaho State University and ISU Libraries will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2019.

Legislation was passed in 1983 designating the third Monday in January as a federal holiday and as a national day of service. To learn more about serving others and strengthening communities, visit MLKDay.gov. Idaho State University will honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm on Monday, January 21, at three local nonprofit agencies. If you would like to volunteer, then meet in the Pond Student Union parking lot at 9:30 am and choose between serving the Idaho Food Bank, Caring Hearts, or the Veterans Home. Lunch and bus transportation for the event is provided. Contact lead@isu.edu with any questions or to sign-up ahead of time.

Also, visit Eli M. Oboler Library and take a look at the informative display on MLK in the library's New Books area.
