Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching and learning materials that are openly licensed so everyone has permission to retain, reuse, revise, remix, and redistribute them.

During ISU Open Education Week in early March, four Textbook Heroes shared their experiences integrating OER materials into their courses. Their presentations can be found on the ISU Libraries YouTube Channel under the ISU Open Education Week Events playlist. These brief videos showcase some of the current practices ISU faculty are engaging in a broader use of OER and affordable materials across campus.

Take a look at the library OER guide for additional information and resources. Contact your subject librarian for assistance in locating materials you can use for your courses.
