To assist faculty in providing information literacy instruction in their online courses, instructors have the option to import the library's five ResearchPath modules (tutorials and quizzes) into their Moodle course shell.
Note: ResearchPath modules should not be used to replace in-person library instruction; they can be used as a supplement to library instruction, or as a refresher.

The library's ResearchPath modules are tied to Moodle badges that will be awarded to students once they pass a quiz with a score of 80% or better. These badges will remain on a student's Moodle profile for 2 years after they pass the quiz. Badges help students by showing they have already completed the ResearchPath module, removing the need for them to complete it in a future course.
There is one ResearchPath badge for each module, and a "metabadge" will be awarded when students have completed all five modules.
If you use the library's ResearchPath modules, you may have students who tell you they have already completed this work. You can check whether a student has earned the ResearchPath badges by viewing their Moodle profile. The video below explains the badging process from a student's viewpoint:
After you fill out the form below, a librarian will respond with ResearchPath files that will need to be added to your Moodle course via the "restore" function. Full instructions will be provided along with the files you will need.
The ResearchPath tutorial links will always point to the most up-to-date tutorials. However, the library has no ability to update the ResearchPath quizzes in your Moodle course, which means that it is your responsibility to check for updates to the quizzes each semester. We will contact you at your ISU email account if updates have been made to the ResearchPath quizzes.
