Moving classes online can create accessibility challenges for disabled students. This article contains a rundown of important considerations, as well as tools on how to address them.

Moving from an in-person to an online class can present challenges for students, especially those who may not have access to necessary technology. This is an example of a survey that will help you assess student readiness to move online. It was created by Lauren Cagle at the University of Kentucky and shared from her Twitter account, @lecagle.

These Open Health Collections are representative samples of available open health educational resources. This page includes many collections of openly licensed resources and tools for health sciences. Resources include textbooks, courses, audio-videos, journals, images, datasets, software, and other mixed content. All of these resources are free for anyone to access worldwide. Many of them are also shared under open licenses that allow copies and modifications.

The #covidcampus hashtag is being used by academics on Twitter who are dealing with challenges related to COVID-19. Many tweets are focused on addressing the challenges of moving to an online setting.

You can record a video of yourself lecturing, or share your screen via zoom to record presentations (e.g. powerpoint presentations) with your voiceover.

The learning curve on Camtasia can be high, but it can let you do so much more than just screencast.

Flipgrid is a free video discussion board tool. You can record and share mini presentations, and students can respond with videos of their own.
