Request Materials from the Main ISU Library

Distance students, faculty, and staff may request items such as books and videos from the ISU library to be delivered to their location.

  • Book delivery to the ISU Library - Idaho Falls and ISU Library - Meridian are free of charge and may be picked up at those locations
  • Books delivered to your home will be subject to a fee

See the "Request ISU Materials" page for more information.

Request Materials Through Interlibrary Loan

What is Interlibrary Loan?

Items that the library does not own can be requested through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

Interlibrary Loan for Distance Students

Students may use Interlibrary Loan to request items the library does not own.

  • Articles and book chapters will be delivered electronically.
  • Books and other physical items may only be picked up at an ISU Library location; ISU Libraries will not mail physical Interlibrary Loan items to students. If you are not near an ISU Library location, please check with your local public library about their ILL services

For more information about ILL and how to place a request, see the "Request Non-ISU Materials" page.
