Installing Zotero is fairly easy & straightforward. You will need to install both the desktop application and the browser extension in order for the product to work. The Zotero browser extension can be installed in either Firefox or Chrome.
1. Go to Zotero's website and click on the red "Download" button.
2. Download both "Zotero 5.0" and "Install Connector." Select the version based on your operating system (i.e. Windows, Mac), and the connector for your preferred browser. (The connector shown on the installation page will correspond with the browser you are using to view the installation page). Use this link to download additional Zotero Connectors for other browsers if you regularly use more than type of browser.
3. Create an account when prompted.
