CMP 4465: Ad Campaigns: Media Planning

Advertising Resources

Online Advertising

Most online advertising is sold on a cost per mille (CPM) basis. This basically means that you pay a certain fee every time your ad is shown a thousand times. This means you are paying for display, not for clicks, and certainly not for results. This isn’t the only option, but it is the most common. This means it’s very easy to waste budget on views of your ad by the completely wrong audience.
