ISU Open Ed Week Presentations Increase Awareness of OAER

by Laura Gleason on March 30th, 2023 | 0 Comments

Did you know that open education benefits not only students but faculty members as well?

Research shows that adopting OER in courses increases access to materials and promotes student retention. During Open Education Week, on March 6 - 10, many of ISU’s 2022 OER Stipend Recipients and Textbook Heroes shared their experiences enhancing their courses through the use of open and affordable educational resources (OAER). The committee wants to thank the presenters who participated this year. The information they shared was valuable and can be useful for anyone who would like to make efforts to insert OAER into their own courses.

If you missed the presentations, it is not too late to watch the recordings on the ISU Libraries YouTube ChaDecorative logo of orange letter o wearing a graduation cap.nnel.

Previous ISU Open Education Week presentations can be viewed on the ISU Open Education Week Events playlist

If you are interested in learning more about OAER or would like to receive help searching for or creating your own OAER for your own courses, please submit an OER Info Request. For help implementing OER into your Moodle courses please contact the ITRC.
