The new location is more spacious and near the front entrance to the TAB, enhancing the role of the library as the center of information about the campus, in addition to serving the research needs of students and faculty. The library also has three study rooms and a larger group room for about 15 students to work on projects. To support the academic interests of the students, there is a reference collection of almost 400 titles, in addition to access to several thousand e-books. There are six public computers to access the library databases that also have the MS Office Suite installed, students are encouraged to work on research projects in the library. In addition, there are two UI computers to access the UI library databases. Various posters, models and other media are on display that adds to the academic atmosphere. In addition, there are study tables and carrels near the windows with a beautiful view of the Snake River.

In December 2021, the Library at University Place moved from TAB 225 to a basement room, TAB 140, while renovations were in process. In June 2022, the library moved upstairs to TAB 240 which was renovated, and the Testing Center was moved into the old library location in TAB 225.
