Oboler Library - First Floor art area.

The event includes delightful refreshments and

does not require an admission fee to attend.

The Marks We Make highlights all the metalsmith pieces that Fischer has created while being a student for four years in the Art Department at ISU. Fishcer’s art exhibit is comprised of a number of metalsmith collections that include bowls, necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets. Titles for a few of the collections are, “Footprints in the Sand,” “Waves of Memory” and “I Wish, I Wish.” Fischer states, “I want to celebrate the lives we live, the people we meet, and how we can leave an impression on one another. This show is a celebration of our triumphs and our scars.”

Fischer has chosen to tailor her creative path in metalsmith art. She was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho, where she spent her youth with her three siblings and parents. Fischer works primarily in metals but also enjoys painting, drawing, and knitting. Her family, overcoming adversity, and celebrating the differences in all of us, inspires her artwork. In addition, the journey and steps that we make through storytelling influence her art process. Victoria seeks to create her own stories in each piece of art.

The Marks We Make can be viewed anytime the Oboler Library is open
