Warmth in Winter: Join Our Annual Winter Wear Drive!
As the chill of winter approaches, our community shows its giving spirit and compassion through the Bannock Civitan’s Annual Winter Wear Drive. From November 13th to December 16, we invite you to share the warmth by donating coats, hats, boots, gloves, and mittens to those in need.
Where to Donate? You can contribute new or slightly used items in the drop-off box on the first floor of Oboler Library near the entrance. Remember, every single item counts in making a difference.
Why Participate? Last year, our collective efforts at Idaho State University made a significant impact. We gathered 16 coats, 6 hats, a pair of boots, 5 pairs of gloves, 6 sweaters, 6 scarves, a vest, and a pair of slippers. In total, the Bannock Civitans were able to donate 636 items during their Winter Wear Coat Drive. These donations provided much-needed warmth throughout our community.
Impact Beyond Campus: The coat drive extends its reach beyond the campus. Last year, donated items were distributed to various organizations, including New Day Products and Resources, the ISU Veterans Clothes Closet at the Pond Student Union, Aid for Friends, Salvation Army, the Warming Shelter at the First Congregational Church of Christ, the Pocatello Free Clinic, and the Clothes Closet at Highland High School.
Let's Unite for Warmth: Your donations are more than just items; they’re a symbol of our community's caring spirit. Let's surpass last year's achievement and bring warmth to even more people this winter. Together, we can make this Winter Wear Drive the most successful yet!
