New Resource:

Eighteenth Century Collections Online

This tremendous resource, also called ECCO, includes the full text page images of over 180,000 books, broadsides, pamphlets, and essays published during the 18th century, based on the ESTC (English Short Title Catalogue).  It serves as a chronological continuation of Early English Books Online (EEBO), a resource to which the ISU Libraries has provided access for many years.  While virtually all areas of inquiry are covered, a researcher may easily limit search results to these categories:  History and Geography, Fine Arts, Social Sciences, Literature and Language, Religion and Philosophy, Law, General Reference, and Medicine, Science and Technology.   Find it on the Databases list on the library’s home page at www.isu.edu/library.
