ISU Libraries' online resources are licensed for use by the ISU community. They typically may not be modified, but can be used at no cost to ISU students or faculty, making them not open educational resources, but low cost educational resources. If your goal is to ensure your students access to materials and you can't find what you need in an open format, you may wish to link to a resource available through the library.
The ISU Library's Course Reserve Collection contains supplemental reading material placed on reserve by faculty for their students. These materials may be books, copies of articles from newspapers or periodicals, copies of book chapters, media items (like sound or video recordings), or files created by the faculty member (like tests, lecture notes, or solution files).
To learn more about how to place materials on reserve, see the following pages:
In all cases the Library is obliged to adhere to current copyright law when making Course Reserve material available to students.
Use these subject guides to find ISU library content such as streaming videos and ebooks. Remember to contact the library to check licensing restrictions on subscription content before using it in your course.
