SPAN 3381 Hispanic Current Events: Find Articles

Searching EBSCOhost databases

Below are the library databases, paid and licensed for ISU students, faculty and staff use only. To get access to them off campus you will need to log in with your ISU ID number and last name.

HINTS:

  • Use Choose databases link to add more EBSCOhost Databases:  Business Search Complete, MasterFILE Premier, Small Business Reference Center, etc.
  • Start your search by combining your two most important keywords or phrases.  Check your search results.  Then add secondary keywords or phrases to narrow down your search.

For example:

DE "LATIN America -- Foreign relations -- United States"

DE "MEXICO -- History -- Revolution, 1910-1920"

OneSearch

OneSearch  is an online research tool that “pulls together” almost all of ISU’s Library resources so that they can be explored using a single search box.  In other words, rather than searching the Library Catalog for books and  databases for journal articles, you can search OneSearch and get results which include books, e-books, journal articles, industry reports, videos, music scores, government documents, etc. in one list. In fact, you could think of OneSearch as the Library’s version of Google.
