Citing Your Sources: Reference Managers

The reference page can sometimes feel like the most stressful part of writing a paper, but it doesn't have to be this way!

There are several tools you can use to make this process much easier! Reference managers can help keep track of, organize, and cite your research as you go. Click on the links below to learn more about each one.

Quick Citation Tools

Sometimes you just need to cite a few references. In this case, there's no need to learn a reference manager. Use the tools below instead.

Be Aware!

From Academic Tim Gunn

Citation software such as Zotero, EndNote Web, and quick citation generators are provided for your convenience only. Please use them with caution. They are not perfect, and they do make mistakes when creating bibliographies. Be sure to review the results to check for formatting, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, required elements, etc. for the citation style you are using. Consult the appropriate official style manual for the definitive answer to your citation questions.
